HUDDERSFIELD Rams are desperate to mark their first home match of the Aussie Rules season tomorrow with victory.
The new-look Lockwood Park side, boosted by a sponsorship deal with Grosvenor Casino, face Wolverhampton Wolverines with a Noon start.
The same venue then stages a clash between Manchester Mosquitoes and Nottingham Scorpions, who are setting the pace at the top of the AFL Central and North England League.
The Rams, fielding seven debutants, went down 62-12 to Manchester last time out, when Cameron Brannan scored their sole goal.
That was the second game of a double header which began with a close clash against Birmingham, who came through 38-36.
Huddersfield dominated the second half and Luke Booth and Jordan Sild both came close to clinching victory late on.
Captain Jason Battye top scored with two goals while Adam Fraser, Brandon Fletcher and Luke Booth notched one apiece.
Graham Bickerdike was Rams’ man of the round.
