This time it was full-back Tom Owen who kicked the conversion and Field were up and running.
Guisborough cut the deficit with a couple of penalties and an unconverted try from a rolling maul, but Scott scored his second touchdown after a Van Rooyen break, Brook converting, and then Van Rooyen also added his second try after an interception, converted by Owen to catapult Huddersfield into a 28-13 lead.
The pace of the game began to take its toll on Guisborough’s players and Huddersfield now began to take complete control, Charlie Brook powering through for their next try, Chris Brook converting before hooker Fran Entressengle ran clear, drew his man and sent Gorman racing over, this time Owen adding the extras.
There were further tries from Matt Kinge and Entressengle, both converted by Owen to round off the scoring.
YMCA’s Colts will play Waterloo at Eccles (Manchester) on Sunday in the final of the Lancashire and Cheshire Bowl.
Having won every League game in Division D of the Lancs & Cheshire League this season, they were just edged out 17-10 by top-flight side Manchester.
The eventual winners of Sunday’s Bowl will then go on to play in the North I challenge.
