WITH their Yorkshire I status guaranteed, YMCA travel to promotion-chasing Driffield in optimistic mood tomorrow.
The Laund Hill club enjoyed a 10-10 draw at Salendine Nook earlier in the season and with their position now safe should be able to adopt a more relaxed approach to what is their penultimate League game of the season (3.00).
“It has been a massive learning curve this season, but we have achieved what we wanted to do at the start, which was to survive this season and then start to build next year,” admitted coach Jody Shaw.
“We had a very good result against Driffield at our place early in the season and now we are looking to put in a good performance over at their spot tomorrow.”
Alex Shaw returns from holiday to stiffen up the back division, while there is a call-up for Colt Danny Dyson as Shaw names a 20-man squad for the clash in East Yorkshire.
