Borough of Kirklees swimmers were in great form with some outstanding performances in the North East Regional Age Group championship series were held in Leeds, Sheffield and Sunderland.
The team, made up of 10 to 14 year-old swimmers, moved up the medals table with the club finishing in a close run fourth place – an improvement from seventh place on last season.
Head oach Mark Lappin said: “There were too many excellent swims to pick out swimmers individually, but the team environment is being created by the partnership with Kirklees Active Leisure and the club working together to produce the performances that will put Kirklees back on the map.
“It was a great set of swims from the team, well done to everyone that stepped up.”
