Cartworth Moor player Andy Bissett has been handed a four-week ban by the Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League.

He has been reprimanded for showing serious dissent at an umpire’s decision by using foul language towards the official.

The incident occurred during Cartworth Moor’s home Cedar Court Conference clash with Denby Dale on August 15.

It is a second such offence for Bissett, who is banned from now until September 17 – past the end of the current campaign – and will also miss the start of next season, from Friday April 15 to Thursday, April 26.

Showing serious dissent at an umpires decision, by word or action is a Level 2 (a) offence with the Yorkshire Cricket Board disciplinary guidelines.

During the suspension, Bissett will not be eligible to play in any other league or competition operating under the YCB or the England and Wales Cricket Board.
