Amar Rashid hit a sparkling unbeaten 161 as Shepley toppled Ossett in the Heavy Woollen Cup first round.

His innings, backed up by 54 not out from skipper Danny Glover, helped the Marsh Lane side reach 293-7.

The visitors were then bowled out for 219 in reply, with Oli Davidson bagging four for 52 and Nasir Jamal four for 40.

Alex Scholefield took four wickets as Barkisland scored an easy win over Golcar at Woodfield.

Scholes had Kiwi Pete Drysdale with 79 and Toby Booth (42) to thank for totalling 238 at Spen Victoria, who were held at 169-9 in reply.
