Cawthorne and Meltham will contest the final of the allroundercricket.com Oddfellows Cup.

Jedi Sports Championship leaders Cawthorne reached the final – to be played on Sunday, August 2 – with a six run success over promotion rivals Clayton West.

Championship outfit Meltham made their way through with a 96 run victory over Cedar Court Conference side Birkby Rose Hill.

Liam Wiles was the match-winning performer for Cawthorne as he scored 101 as they set 244.

However, Clayton West were in touching difference as Tom Barber redressed the balance with 104 and New Zealand signing Kyle Hitchman hit 51, but Cawthorne came through with Muztuza Hussain taking four wickets for 32.

Meltham made easier work of their semi-final with Amir Afzal hitting 5 2 and Abdul Hamid 50 not out as they made 186-8.

Birkby’s hopes failed to flourish as they were ousted for 90 with Muhammad Kashif claiming five victims for 24.
