MELTHAM were the winners of the Sellers Junior League’s Under 15 cup as they beat Golcar by 68 runs.
Meltham skipper and opener Will Fraine played a leading role for the victors hitting 55 before retiring as his side put on 190-9 in their 40 overs – Fraine was awarded the Man of the Match trophy.
The Golcar reply saw wickets fall at a frequent rate and a strong late spell from R Moulson, who took four wickets for 26, saw Meltham cruise to victory.
