VETERAN cricket official Peter Bottomley was honoured with a surprise presentation.
The president of the Sellers Travel Evening League was presented with the Jason Metcalfe Memorial Trophy to mark his services to the league.
Fittingly, it came as the league marked its 75th anniversary with a dinner at Greenhead Masonic Hall.
Mr Bottomley has been president for many years.
More than 100 guests enjoyed the dinner with the guest speaker being former Leeds and Great Britain rugby league star Barrie McDermott.
