THE eighth Pennine Cricket History conference will take place on Saturday at the University of Huddersfield.

The speakers will cover a range of cricketing topics and they include Bruce Deadman on cricket in Cleckheaton, Dave Cooper on cricket in Oldham, Peter Hutton on broadcasting in the game and video expert Brian Heywood.

There will also be a session on cricket poetry.

Main organiser Bob Horne said: “We’re really looking forward to the day.

“We’ve got a range of fascinating speakers and we will enjoy welcoming so many local cricket enthusiasts to the university.”

The conference runs from 10am to 4pm in the Castle Hill Suite on Queensgate, Huddersfield.

Admission is free, refreshments will also be served and all are welcome.
