RYAN SIDEBOTTOM has launched a brand new initiative toŠ inspire the next generation of young cricketers.

The Little Siddy Club, named after the Huddersfield-born left arm bowler, aims to encourageŠ children aged 12 and under to take part in cricket activities and enjoy the game that Sidebottom has played since the age of four.

The Nottinghamshire star said: “The Little Siddy Club is something I am passionate about.

“Some of my earliest memories involve running carefree around the outfield watching my dad play for Yorkshire and I have a lot to thank the game of cricket for.

“I am very fortunate to have had a career in the game and throughout that time I have enjoyed a great rapport with the junior supporters.

“The noise and excitement they bring to Trent Bridge really makes a difference to the team out in the middle and we would love to see moreŠ youngsters enjoying the game.

“The Little Siddy Club will offer them the chance to have some great fun and hopefully inspire the next generation of young cricketers.

“There will be Šsome fantastic events for the members and I look forward to meeting them all.”

The Little Siddy Club will be holding events in Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire, Sidebottom’s first county, during the summer holidays.

Club members will receive a welcome pack and goodie bag, which will include a personally signed certificate from Ryan, and have the chance to take part in a competition to draw ‘Ryan the Lion’.

Entry forms can be found in Sidebottom’s Benefit Year brochure, which is available at www.ryansidebottom.com. For further details contact The Little Siddy Club by email at littlesiddyclub@yahoo.co.uk or ring Emma on 07517 228600.
