A JAMES SENIOR century was the foundation for Cumberworth’s latest victory over Holmbridge as they remained on top of the arrowselfdrive Huddersfield Central League.

Senior made 107 as Cumberworth totalled 254 before being dismissed in the penultimate over, Ashley Moorhouse taking four for 22 for the Holme Valley club.

Darren Holroyd responded with 59, but there was little else in the way of support as Carlo Whitaker claimed five for 56 and Martin Kilner three for 27 to restrict Holmbridge to 169-9.

The day’s top knock came from Denby Dale’s James Stafford who made an unbeaten 116, while Ryan Geldart made 95 in Denby Dale’s 271-3 tally against Birkby Rose Hill’s 225 all out, in Section B, with Amir Qazafi top-scoring in the reply with 84.
