PADDOCK are organising a cricket festival later this month in memory of Stanley Inniss MBE.
The club have been working with his family to put together a tremendous programme at West View Rise for Sunday, June 30.
It will involve two matches and there will be food, drink, music and children’s activities throughout the day from 1.30 to 7.30.
The first match is an Under 15 Twenty20 between Dartford School and a Carpark Cricket XI, the winner taking home the Stanley inniss Community Cricket Trophy.
The second match is a cracking Twenty20 between a West Indian All Star side and a Paddock invitational team, with the winners collecting the Stanley Inniss Huddersfield Cricket League Challenge Cup.
Stanley was heavily involved with Paddock’s junior programme, particularly their community outreach scheme known as Carpark Cricket.
“We would like to hear from any local cricketers who would like to take part,” said Paddock treasurer Chris Haigh.
“Stanley did a great deal during his life to create good community relations and, for the club, he has always encouraged our junior players and attended their prize-giving.”
