Five Drakes League players will be involved in the Yorkshire v Lancashire Under 19 Roses match at Honley tomorrow and Thursday.

It’s the final match of the Six Counties Championship and Yorkshire have four Huddersfield players in their line-up – Tim Taylor of Honley, Toby Booth (Scholes), Bradley Birkhead (Rastrick), who is the captain, and Luke Bridges (Barkisland).

Lancashire also have a Drakes youngster in their team – Chris Laker of Delph & Dobcross.

He’s been selected after hitting more than 700 runs for the Huddersfield Road club in the Premiership this season.

Bridges has been added to the Yorkshire line-up after helping Barkisland win the arrowselfdrive Sykes Cup and scoring over 800 senior runs at Woodfield this summer.

The winners will take home the Sanderson Cup.

Despite a disappointing start, losing against Durham, the White Rose have beaten Middlesex and Warwickshire and, with a rain-affected draw with Derbyshire, they lead the table by a small margin.

However, Durham have a match in hand, so a maximum points win will be needed for Yorkshire to have a chance of securing the overall Championship.

Supporters are welcome and play is 11am to 6pm each day, with the 40-minute lunch at 1pm and tea from 3.40 to 4pm.
