Can Hoylandswaine bring the biggest prize in Yorkshire club cricket to the Drakes League?

That question will be answered on Sunday (Noon) when John Sadler’s men meet Woodhouse Grange in the Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy at Wrenthorpe.

Hoylandswaine – Drakes champions last year and representing the league against the other champions from the county – are taking on the best side from the York Senior League.

Most pundits fancy Swaine to add the Black Sheep to their arrowselfdrive Sykes Cup and allroundercricket T20 titles, but Sadler knows they will have to work hard.

“We respect all our opposition and we know they are a good side,” said the skipper.

“As with the other finals, we will be going out to play good cricket and to execute our plans and, if we do that, we will give ourselves every chance.”
