Matt Crookes of Kirkburton was the top all-rounder in the Under 17 section of the Sellers Huddersfield Junior League.

Crookes took the Section B bowling prize with 17 wickets at 8.11 each, and he collected the George Boothroyd Trophy as the best all-rounder having also scored 275 runs and taken four catches.

Rory France took the age-group batting prize, scoring 266 in his nine innings in Area B, but he finished not out in seven of those to finish with an average of 133.

In Area A, the batting prize went to Tom Hinks of Almondbury Wesleyans, who hit 340 runs in 10 matches with six not outs to average 85.

Best Under 17 bowler was Jack Hinchliffe of Meltham, who took 20 wickets in Section A at an average of just 4.25, having bowled 18 maidens among his 45 overs in the campaign, conceding only 85 runs.

Alec Jakeman of Honley took the Under 17 catching prize with eight victims in seven Area A matches, while George Tyas of Hoylandswaine was the Area B prizewinner with eight catches, but his coming from 10 matches.

The wicketkeeping prize in the age group went to Benji Birkhead of Rastrick, who had 14 victims (10 stumped, four caught) in Area A. The Area B prize went to George Whittaker of Kirkburton.

In the Under 15s, Liam Greig of Denby Dale took the Geoff Howard Trophy as best all-rounder, having scored 280 runs, taken 15 wickets and held six catches.

Nathan Swift of Kirkheaton took the Under 15 batting prize with 296 runs in nine innings, but as he finished unbeaten in eight of his knocks, his average stands at 296.

Clayton West’s Tom James took the bowling prize with 14 wickets at just 3.78 each – his 24 overs in the season conceded just 53 runs – while Alex Vickerman from Meltham had 13 victims to win the catching prize.

Best keeper at Under 15 level was Harry Bissett of Holmfirth, with 17 scalps (nine stumped and eight caught).

In the Under 11 section, Bailey Howarth of Holmbridge won the batting prize with an average of 221 (he got 221 runs in nine innings but was out only once).

Mackenzie Gill of Almondbury Wes A took the Under 11 bowling prize with 13 wickets at 2.92 each, while Jake Chapman of Hoylandswaine took the catching prize with nine.

Luke Martin of Barkisland was the best Under 11 keeper with 12 victims (10 stumped and two caught).

There are no league prizes at Under 13 level.
