The Pennine Cricket Society has changed venue.

The monthly group will now meet at Rastrick Cricket Club, once a month on Thursday nights.

“It is excellent to be based at Rastrick’s Round Hill. It is a historic venue and we are looking forward to the new season of events starting,” said organiser Dr Peter Davies.

The Society is part of a national network of groups, The Council of Cricket Societies, and was founded in 2012, meeting at Golcar CC for its first two years.

Each month there is a speaker on a cricketing theme and supper too.

Dr Davies added: “We have had a good two years with some excellent speakers and it is always nice to talk cricket in the middle of winter.”

The first meeting of 2014-5 takes place on Thursday 30 October, 7.30-9.00pm in the Rastrick CC pavilion. All welcome.
