YORKSHIRE head into their fourth Friends Life t20 match knowing their hopes are still in their own hands – but only if they win their remaining seven matches.

After defeats to Durham and Derbyshire and a tie in the Roses clash with Lancashire at Headingley, the Vikings head into tonight’s fixture with Leicestershire at Headingley (5.40) bottom of the North Division.

With only the top two teams in each group guaranteed qualification, Yorkshire face a tough task if they are to reach the quarter-finals for the second year running.

However, all-rounder Richard Pyrah said the squad were well aware that it had become a win at all costs situation.

“Every game now is important, and we’ve got to look to win every game, if we do that we’ll go through.” he said.

“There is still time and we showed that last year when we got on a run and didn’t lose a game until the final.

“There’s no reason why we can’t do that again. I think Twenty20 is a game where, if you’ve got momentum, you can go on a good run.”
