Danny Naidole continued his red-hot scoring streak as Brighouse Town beat Parkgate to maintain their push for promotion to the Northern Premier League.

Having netted twice in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Winterton Rangers, the midfielder notched a hat trick to help Town beat Parkgate 4-0 at the Dual Seal Stadium on Tuesday.

It was a third straight win and sixth in seven games for Paul Quinn’s side and moved them to third in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Town trail leaders Tadcaster Albion by eight points - but have six games in hand on them, but frustratingly, no fixture this Saturday.

Next up are ninth-placed Heanor Town next Wednesday in they first of three successive home matches.

Rotherham side Parkgate had beaten Brighouse 3-0 three weeks earlier, but were no match for them in the return game.

Defender Adam Wilson opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Naidole’s opener in the 31st.

His other goals came after 57 and 77 minutes and were sandwiched around a penalty save by Brighouse keeper Jacob Giles.

“With another clean sheet, the penalty save and the hat trick, the players were different class,” said coach Rob Mitchell.
