Memories of former Huddersfield Town manager Ian Greaves will be stirred for his grandson Paul Quinn on Tuesday.

Quinn’s Brighouse Town are in Evo-Stik Northern Premier League action at Warrington Town.

And Warrington are managed by Shaun Reid, whose elder brother Peter was a star of the Bolton Wanderers side Greaves led into the top flight back in 1978.

Greaves, who died in 2009, took Town to the original Second Division (now Championship) title in 1970.

Quinn aims to end a three-match losing run in Division I North.

His side, playing at NPL level for the first time in the club’s history, are 16th after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Burscough.

Warrington, who hit the headlines by knocking Exeter City out of his season’s FA Cup, are 11th. They were beaten 1-0 at Mossley on Saturday, but won their previous five in all competitions.

Shaun Reid, above, played league football for Rochdale, Preston North End, York City and Bury.

He has coached at Chester City, Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle and previously managed Prescot Cables.

FC Halifax Town are in Vanarama Conference action at Southport on Tuesday.
