In the Groom Cup, three of the semi-finalists are known.

3D Dynamos and Junction are level on 37 points in Division Four but in the 90 minutes last week, there were five goals that separated them.

Nick Lishan scored twice with the others coming from Michael Bainbridge, Jacob Longmore and Mark Taylor.

This was a reversal for Junction, who had won 2-0 when the sides met in a League fixture earlier in the season.

In the other two quarter-final ties, League standings proved to be no guide as to the results.

AFC Lindley are higher than Colne Valley in Division Three but, last week, more recent form was repeated.

Seven days before the cup tie, the sides had met in the League and Colne Valley had won 3-0, so the 3-1 scoreline in the Cup can hardly be classed as a surprise. The goals came from John Conheeney (2) and Liam Gibbon.

Uppermill faced Almondbury Woolpack in the other quarter-final.

Uppermill are on a bit of a roll at present. Since the start of December, they have won seven of their eight games.

The run started with a 4-2 win over the Woolpack so, even though Uppermill are a few positions behind the Woolpack, the 3-1 score last week was similarly not a massive shock.

With Wooldale beating Brighouse OB, the outstanding quarter-final will be between Wooldale and Paddock Rangers and the winners of that match will meet 3Ds in the semi finals, which leaves Uppermill facing Colne Valley in the other.
