Huddersfield YMCA are looking forward to their home Northern Under 19 Alliance derby against AFC Emley on Monday (7.45).

They are aiming to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at Ossett Town.

The Laund Hill side had earlier lost 4-3 at home to Ossett Town and won 5-1 at Ossett Albion.

Town put away their chances to seal victory against a wayward YM at Laund Hill.

Kam Russell hit a rasping shot in the first minute, but it was well saved.

For the third game in succession, the Laund Hill side fell a goal behind.

In the previous two games, YM had managed to fight back and win, and they created numerous chances in this match.

However not many were on target, and the ones that were failed to trouble the keeper.

YM paid for these missed opportunities when a further two goals were scored by Ossett before the half hour mark.

Further chances went begging before Harry Dawson had a shot saved.

From the resulting corner, Eddie Hemmingway headed home.

YM opened the second half with a power drive from Lewis Nicholl, but it was straight at the keeper, who palmed it away.

The game became more open but Ossett were well organised and stifled many of the YM attacks.

The Huddersfield side suffered a setback when Town went 4-1 up.

But the last half hour was non-stop home pressure from the home team.

Nicholl controlled the ball on his chest and volleyed home.

Then left back Dawson headed in.

A strong run and cross from right-back Joe Moxon nearly brought an equaliser, but the ball was cleared.

Albion were well beaten at Dimple Wells even though YM had two players, Dawson and Doyle, sent off along with one from the home side.

With 11 on the field, the visitors had hit back from a goal down to go 4-1 up through a Jay Brogan-Ellis hat trick and one from Nicholl.

Russell scored the fifth from Nicholl’s pass.
