Alarna Fuller's goal earned Huddersfield Town Ladies a sixth straight win in all competitions.

The 1-0 victory over Sporting Club Albion in the Midlands left them seventh in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division.

The sides pretty much cancelled each other out in the first half, when Albion had a goal disallowed.

Katie Nutter and Kate Mallin were both off target with shots for Town.

In the second half, both teams hit a post, Albion in the 46th minute and Town in the 55th.

Nutter then headed wide before a 68th-minute fracas brought three yellow cards, including one for Debbie Hastings, who had unsuccessfully claimed a penalty.

Town then produced some sustained pressure and Fuller turned home a Mallin corner with 17 minutes remaining.

Right wing-back Laura Windle was named player of the match for Town, who go to Preston North End on Sunday (2.00).

The seconds lost 5-1 away to Bradford City in the FAWPL Reserves Northern Division.

Rachel Stuart scored for Town, who head to Guiseley Vixens on Sunday (2.00).

The Under 18s, who were without a Sheffield & Hallamshire Girls League game at the weekend, head to Handsworth on Saturday (11.00).

The Under 15s dropped their first points since September when they were held 1-1 at Barnsley.

The home side started the better and took the lead after just three minutes.

A through ball beat the Town defence and keeper Isobel Pare was narrowly beaten as she rushed off her line.

Town reacted well and began to dominate possession without creating any good opportunities.

Tara Duce was dominant in the centre of midfield, linking well with Ella Harris and Eleanor Smith out wide, but the final ball was too often misplaced.

Town finally forced an equaliser on 31 minutes, when Laura Walker’s cross was laid back to Harris, whose curling shot from the edge of the area went over the home keeper.

The second half followed a similar pattern.

Duce, putting in a player of the match performance, had Town’s best chance when her long-range shot was well saved.

Along with Rose Priestley and Faye Allen, Duce continued to drive Town forward and they could have won it with five minutes to go.

Duce’s free-kick found Walker unmarked six yards out, but the ball arrived at an awkward height and she steered her shot just wide.

With Rotherham United Whitehill winning at Doncaster Belles, Town’s lead at the top of the table has been cut to one point.

Town go to Doncaster on Saturday (11.00).

The Under 13s, who are joint top of their division with Doncaster Belles, won 12-1 at Bawtry.

They took the lead after two minutes through Courtney Livsey, who soon struck again after being set up by Alicia Marriott.

On 12 minutes Marriott moved onto a pass from Brodie Haigh to score.

Haigh added her name to the scoresheet with a powerful shot before Livsey completed her hat trick when she turned in a Marriott corner.

Livsey shot home strongly before Macy Ellis scored from close range.

Town scored twice in a minute through Jemima Wood and Haigh to make it 9-0 at half-time.

The other three goals came in a four-minute spell through Wood and Marriott (2).

Bawtry, who kept going throughout the game, gained a last-minute consolation when Town scored an own goal.

Livsey was player of the match for Town, who are away to Whiston Wildcats on Saturday (11.00).
