The new West Riding County Amateur League campaign will start on Wednesday, August 20.

Honley are among three new teams.

They have been elected alongside Gildersome Spurs Old Boys, who were Yorkshire Amateur League champions last season, and Hunslet & Parkside (Leeds Red Triangle League).

All three will compete in Division II, alongside relegated Bay Athletic Reserves and Golcar United’s second string.

Huddersfield side DRAM Community will play in Division I after winning promotion in their first season in the league.

Their opponents will include relegated Lepton Highlanders as well as Storthes Hall Reserves.

The town’s five Premier Division clubs are Bay Athletic, Golcar, Huddersfield YMCA, Kirkburton and Storthes Hall.

Wakefield side Hall Green United have left the league.

Town Ladies will face FC United of Manchester in a friendly on Saturday, July 12 (12.30) as part of a double header at Storthes Hall, where Shelley, of the West Yorkshire League, face FC United, of the Northern Premier League, at 3.00.

Town Ladies have been promoted to the FA Women’s Premier League.
