Brighouse Sports produced a stunning first-half performance against Westend Under 14s to maintain their 100% record.

Brighouse started off quickly with William Peterkin racing onto a through ball to score in the opening minutes, and he soon completed his hat trick before Westend pulled one back to make it 3-1 after 15 minutes.

Owen Murphy scored again for Brighouse to restore their three-goal lead and then the floodgates opened, with Peterkin scoring another four goals to make it seven for him and 8-1 at the break.

The second half was different with Westend battling to keep the score down, which they did, and they pulled a goal back.

Meanwhile, Brighouse Juniors Under 10 Terriers had a 2-1 at home to Thornhill A.

Brighouse started brightly. With Jack Taylor in goal on top form with Josh Harrison and Samuel Brearley providing great cover in defence, Thornhill found it hard to break them down.

Brighouse boast lots of pace with Joshua Heavyside, Joshua Wood and Kye Lewis.

Ethan Roberts added strength to the Terriers in the middle of the pitch while subs Jack Green and Kian Collins repeatedly troubled the Thornhill defence.

The Terriers scored when a corner was played out to the edge of the box and Heavyside met it with a great strike.

Brighouse squandered numerous chances before Thornhill equalised.

The home side continued to play with great spirit, however, and were rewarded when man-of-the-match Lewis headed home an inswinging corner.

Brighouse Under 10 Tigers battled out a 4-4 draw with Thornhill B to maintain their unbeaten start.

Tigers took the lead with Thornhill putting the ball into their own net under pressure from Ashlee Beck.

Brighouse soon found themselves two up when Jacob Peyton turned a through ball into the corner and then quickly got a third with a nice finish from Beck.

At this point Brighouse were well on top with Joe Delahunty, Liam Glackin and Zach Smith marshalling the defence well and Bradley Atkinson having little to do in goal.

Thornhill snatched a goal just before half time and then started the second half well, quickly getting two goals to equalise.

The Tigers kept playing football and Joe Whitworth and man-of-the-match Ethan Wroot had chances, but then against the run of play Thornhill took the lead. The Tigers kept plugging away with some great darting runs from league debutant Liam Lyne, and they were rewarded when Beck got a fourth.
