Aston Villa are in the hunt for new recruits, with Mile Jedinak, Abel Hernandez and former Manchester United man Ravel Morrison thought to be on the club's radar.

Eccentric owner Dr Tony Xia fueled the rumours today by tweeting:

The Holte Enders believe the club are close to securing Morrison's services from Lazio after failing to settle in Italy following his move from West Ham last summer.

The 23-year-old, although undoubtedly talented, has seen his career plagued by accusations of an attitude problem, but Villa fans don't seem put off the midfielder.

Morrison has recently followed the club and claret and blue keeper Pierluigi Gollini on Twitter, adding to the specualtion.

Fernando Forestieri celebrates scoring for Sheffield Wednesday

Derby County have reportedly launched a bid to take Fernando Forestieri from Sheffield Wednesday to the iPro Stadium.

The Derby Telegraph claim the Rams have placed a bid for the Owls' Argentinian maestro who struck 15 goals last season.

Forestieri's goals, coupled with seven assists, helped Wednesday to the play-off final where they were beaten by a Mohamed Diame screamer in the 72nd minute.

The 26-year-old still has three years left on his Hillsborough contract after signing from Watford for a reported £3m in 2015.

Forestieri scored the winner last weekend when his club faced ex-Premier League side Aston Villa.

Brendan Galloway challenges Crystal Palace's Joel Ward

Newcastle United are likely to have completed the signing of Brendan Galloway on loan from Everton in time for the left-back to face Town at St James' Park this weekend.

The 20-year-old full-back has made 21 appearances for the Toffees since joining from MK Dons in 2014 and has been capped by England at Under 17, 18 and 19 levels.

The Newcastle Chronicle believe a contract could be signed by the youngster tonight, with another transfer rumoured to join the North East club later in the week.

Charlie Taylor puts his body on the line for Leeds United

Leeds United youngster Charlie Taylor is looking likely to stay at Elland Road, despite the youngster handing in a transfer request last week.

The Whites rejected the 22-year-old's request, but West Ham still reportedly submitted a £7m bid for the highly-rated full-back.

Accroding to HITC Sport, the offer arrived last week, but was immediately rejected by the Yorkshire club who want to keep hold of their plethora of promising youngsters.

Taylor has one year left on his contract at Leeds.

Talisca in action for Benfica

Finally, Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to smash the Championship transfer record by signing Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca from Benfica.

Liverpool had been favourites to sign the 22-year-old, but Wolves' new Chinese investors have pushed for the signing, with superagent Jorge Mendes supposedly aiding the midlands side in their recruitment drive.

The striker is thought to be costing Wolves a whopping £20m, with the Sun claiming the Brazilian is due at Molineux for a medical today.

Talisca is believed to have been offered a one-year contract and could be available for Wolves' match against Reading at the weekend.
