A former Hipperholme Grammar student has signed for a Premiership football club.

Elliott Kebbie, who played for Brighouse Juniors, spent eight years at the Leeds United academy but relocated to Spain with his mother in 2011 after spending time at Barcelona’s La Masia training site. He then signed for Atletico Madrid.

The 19-year-old right-back has been without a club since leaving the Spanish giants, but has done enough to win a contract with Hull FC, known as the Tigers, until the end of the season.

Elliott, who grew up in Sowerby Bridge, will be part of the development squad working alongside Steve Bruce’s first-team and is therefore unlikely to be considered for Premier League duties.

Elliot’s father, Brimah, used to play rugby for Huddersfield Giants.
