It’s all square at Huddersfield Town.

The club has launched a new mobile app – entitled Town Square – to provide fans with everything they need to know about their favourite team in the palms of their hands.

The app, which is sponsored by John Smith’s, features all the latest news from the club, including match stats, twitter and the club’s retail site. It can be downloaded for free by visiting the relevant app stores and searching for “Town Square”.

The app includes a section listing the club’s commercial partners and click-through to their sites as well as club news.

In addition, people downloading the app on matchdays will be able to share the bandwidth with other mobiles that have downloaded the App – meaning there is no need for Wifi on matchdays.

The club is working with Holmfirth-based brand, websites and marketing agency Worthington Brown on the new app – and Town commercial director Sean Jarvis said further developments for the app were in the pipeline.

He said: “This is set to be quite revolutionary for the club as it now encompasses all of the different websites and social media outlets into one site. And with the growing advent of m-commerce, it will be a major avenue for the club.”
