James Vaughan notched for the third time in as many games to earn Huddersfield Town a welcome point in their Championship clash at Bournemouth.

Vaughan touched home Jack Robinson's low shot for a 65th-minute equaliser after a well-worked corner routine left Huddersfield Town trailing at half-time.

Yann Kermorgant thumped home a low drive after Harry Arter dummied from Matt Ritchie's flag kick in the 16th minute.

Town boss Chris Powell made just one change, with midfielder David Edgar replacing striker Ishmael Miller.

Miller dropped to a bench which also included his fellow striker Nahki Wells, back from suspension, and midfielder Jonathan Hogg, fit again after injury.

Town found it hard to create meaningful chances before the break, with Tommy Smith coming closest with a shot from distance which was tipped wide.

Steve Cook and Kermorgant headed wide before the latter scored, then Callum Wilson drilled the ball across the face of goal after Town's Alex Smithies saved from the lively Ritchie.

Smithies then saved Wilson's header from another Ritchie cross.

After a sluggish start to the second half, Town's leveller sparked Bournemouth back into life, and Smithies made good saves to thwart Kermorgant and Arter as Chris Powell's side held out.
