Joe Lolley was on target once more as Huddersfield Town concluded their pre-season training camp in Marbella by cruising to a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient.

The 22-year-old found the net 10 minutes before the break, crashing home from 20 yards to score his second goal in as many games after notching in the 3-1 success at Guiseley last week.

And the win was secured in the second half when debutant Kyle Dempsey's cross was turned into his own net by Leyton Orient defender Mathieu Baudry as Chris Powell's charges claimed their second successive pre-season win.

Team news

Powell made five changes to the starting XI which lined up at Nethermoor, with Jordy Hiwula handed his first runout less than 24 hours after joining the club and he was joined by fellow new signings Jason Davidson and Dean Whitehead, as well as Joe Wilkinson and Lolley.

Trialist Martin Cranie was also afforded another opportunity to impress, lining up in the centre of defence alongside young William Boyle as Town started out with a 4-4-1-1 shape, with Hiwula playing just behind Nahki Wells.

It also meant former Middlesbrough pair Jacob Butterfield and Whitehead were teamed up in the middle of midfield, with Lolley and Bunn operating on the right and left flanks respectively.

First half

Chances were few and far between in the Spanish heat, but Powell's men were on top from the outset and they were rewarded just before half-time when Lolley netted his second goal in as many games.

Just like at Nethermoor last weekend, the winger cut inside onto his favoured left foot from the right-hand touchline and fired across Orient goalkeeper Gary Woods from the corner of the 18-yard box.

Second half

Powell rung the changes at half-time, and just as he did in the opening pre-season friendly, chose to field a different XI altogether in the second half.

Dempsey was handed his debut while young left-back Jack Senior also got another 45 minutes under his belt despite concerns over an infected blister.

And it was Town's new attacking midfielder who played a key part in the second goal of the afternoon, drifting out wide to collect possession and providing a teasing cross which Orient defender Baudry could only turn into his own net.

Town almost found a third when fellow substitute Sean Scannell crashed an effort against the post in the closing stages but they had to settle for two as they finished their training camp in style before preparing to fly back home tomorrow ahead of Tuesday night's trip to Grimsby Town.
