Huddersfield Town made it five Championship matches unbeaten as they fought out an exciting draw with play-off chasing Derby County.

It took a late Tom Ince goal to rescue a point for the Rams after they had fought back from a two-goal deficit only to go behind again when Town top scorer Nahki Wells notched.

Ince had given Steve McClaren's side a 16th-minute lead, only for Town to scored three times in eight minutes to claim a deserved 3-1 half-time advantage.

Oscar Gobern, Mark Hudson and Reece James, direct from a corner in stoppage time, did the damage to Derby.

The visitors had been under pressure from Chris Powell's side before Ince hammered home from 25 yards, shortly after having a free-kick saved by Alex Smithies.

Sean Scannell had already tested visiting keeper Lee Grant by the time Gobern scored in the 38th minute, controlling Conor Coady's through ball on his chest and shooting home.

Skipper Hudson headed in from a James flag kick before the on-loan Manchester United left-back claimed his first Town goal with a curling corner which deceived Grant.

Derby were forced to make two first-half changes, with Simon Dawkins replacing midfielder Craig Bryson and Cyrus Christie coming on for centre-back Zak Whitbread.

And Dawkins struck in the 52nd minute, sidefooting home from former Leeds full-back Stephen Warnock's cross.

The visitors were level 10 minutes later, when Jesse Lingard threaded home a low shot from the edge of the area.

Wells restored Town's lead in the 72nd minute when after good work by Scannell and Miller, his shot was deflected in for a 14th goal of the season.

But Ince's composed 80th-minute finish after he scampered through to the edge of the Town penalty box tied the game again.
