The short answer

The fixtures for the 2015/16 Championship season will be revealed at 9am on Wednesday, June 17.

What happens next?

Each team plays one another and at the end of the season we see who's won the league, who else has joined them in promotion, the four play-off contenders and the three relegated clubs

But before then, broadcasters will have their say on which games they wish to move to different days and times over the weekend for TV coverage so don't bank on a Town v Leeds United derby game falling at 3pm on a Saturday just yet.

Who did Huddersfield Town kick off against in 2014/15?

Town kicked off their campaign with the utterly forgettable home clash against Bournemouth, with a trip to Cardiff City and a midweek visit to the Madejski Stadium to face Reading rounding off their opening three matches. Town took just three points from that early-season trio of games.

So when does the season start?

The 2015/16 campaign gets underway on August 8, with the Premier League and Football League seasons kicking off at the same time. Last season's opening Championship game was on Saturday August 9, while the top flight started a week later.

It is slightly earlier this year due to the European Championships in France next summer.
