ABERDEEN legend Willie Miller has launched an outspoken attack on Huddersfield Town after the club were linked with the Dons' teenage prospect Ryan Fraser.

Scotland Under 19 cap Fraser is out of contract at the end of the season and has turned down a new three-year deal at Aberdeen.

While they will be entitled to a £250,000 payment if he leaves at the end of the season, Aberdeen know they will make more by selling 18-year-old Fraser this month - and it's believed Town could be in the vanguard for the teenager's signature.

But Miller, who spent his 18 year playing career at Pittodrie and racked up more than 500 league appearances, is reported to have warned Fraser not to "waste the next few years with the likes of them (Town)."

The Scotland international, who won the European Cup Winners' Cup and later went on to be Aberdeen boss and Director of Football Development, added: "Huddersfield are never going to be serious challengers for honours or promotion to the Premier League.

"People talk about the Dons' past glories. Huddersfield's glory days are not so much ancient as prehistoric.

"If a move there is the best his advisers can come up with, I would urge Ryan to reconsider his position as far as leaving Pittodrie is concerned."
