Adam Clayton is looking forward to a quick return to Huddersfield Town.

It’s just a month since the midfielder swapped Huddersfield for Middlesbrough in a deal which could rise to £2m.

The 24-year-old, who made his Boro debut at another former club, Leeds United, is set for a sixth appearance.

“I’m sure it will be a better reception than I got at Leeds a few weeks ago,” said Clayton, who will come up against Jacob Butterfield, who moved the opposite direction.

“I’m looking forward to playing against some friends that I was with for two years of my career.

“There was no bad blood when I left, and I don’t see why there should be any hostility.

“Hopefully we can win and shake hands at the end.

“They’ll be up for it, knowing that a good Middlesbrough team are coming.

“I’m sure they will be going for it with Chris Powell the new manager there, and we’re looking to get back on track.”
