Adam Hammill is back in training with Huddersfield Town.

The 26-year-old former Wolves and Barnsley wingman has not yet featured under new manager Chris Powell after suffering a series of minor injury niggles.

One of the club’s most skilful players, he returned to the PPG Canalside full session today and will join a queue of players desperate to achieve some Championship involvement.

The last of Hammill’s six appearances this season came in the 4-2 defeat at Watford on August 30, four days before Powell was appointed the permanent successor to Mark Robins at the John Smith’s Stadium club.

His only starts have been against Bournemouth on the opening day of the season and against Saturday’s opponents Nottingham Forest in the Capital One Cup.

Also back under the watchful eye of Powell, Alex Dyer, Steve Thompson and Steve Eyre today was Joe Lolley, the popular wingman who is on the recovery trail from a hip injury.

The 22-year-old has featured only three times this campaign, scoring in the Capital One Cup victory at Chesterfield, but he’s not been seen since replacing Harry Bunn in the 2-1 home defeat by Middlesbrough which was Powell’s first match at the helm.
