IT’S getting busy in the Barlow Cup!
Netherton and Berry Brow meet in the first semi-final of the District League’s showpiece competition at Grange Moor tonight (5.30).
The second semi takes place at Woodfield Park on Thursday (5.30), but while Skelmanthorpe are through, they await the winners of the outstanding quarter-final between Uppermill and Newsome, which takes place on Tuesday (5.30).
The rush to complete is necessary because the final is fixed for the Galpharm on Wednesday, April 13 (7.00).
l West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division leaders Bay Athletic, who continue their bid for a record-breaking fourth successive title at home to Ovenden WR tomorrow, head to Woodlesford on Tuesday (7.30) to take on Knaresborough Town in the West Riding FA Challenge Cup semi-finals.
Bay face Britannia Sports in the semi-finals of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup at Laund Hill on Friday.
Fellow Huddersfield side Kirkburton, who head to Hunsworth for a league game tomorrow, take on Ovenden in the semi-finals of the County Amateur League Premier Division Cup at Brighouse Town on Wednesday (7.30).
l Huddersfield, who are targeting a first West Riding FA Minor Cup triumph since 1994, take on Keighley in the semi-finals at Woodlesford tomorrow (2.30). The other tie, between Halifax and Leeds, is at the same venue at 10.30.
l Kirklees League side Pak Rangers meet Heavy Woollen team Towngate in the first Huddersfield FA Sunday Challenge Cup semi-final at Marsden on Sunday (2.00).
