DANNY CLAPHAM returns to AFC Emley’s squad for tomorrow’s trip to Yorkshire Amateur (3.00) after missing Wednesday’s goalless draw with Northern Counties East League First Division rivals Grimsby Borough because of work commitments.

But skipper Andy Farrell, Max Joice and Matt Higginbottom are all injury doubts for the game in Leeds.

Sixth-placed Emley began brightly against Grimsby with Steve Kenworthy and Marc Townsend both shooting narrowly off target.

Then Scott Fulton shot over from inside the six-yard box before Kenworthy had a header well saved.

Grimsby found their feet towards the end of the first half, but Emley still had chances, with Josh Nodder (twice), Darren Barrick and Sean Hazelden coming close.

Meanwhile Bay Athletic blasted their way into an all-Huddersfield cup final clash with Meltham.

They were 6-1 winners in their West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup semi-final against Lower Hopton at Brighouse.

While the final details are yet to be confirmed, Bay can take a big step towards the Premier Division title by beating hosts Ovenden West Riding tomorrow (2.30).

The Huddersfield side are five points ahead of Ovenden but have played two games more.

Bay Athletic will meet Meltham in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup final after beating Lower Hopton 6-1 in the semis.
