HEPWORTH United have won the Huddersfield District League title – again.

The Holme Valley side followed up last season’s first-ever championship triumph by clinching this season’s honours thanks to Saturday’s 7-0 success over Slaithwaite United.

Second-placed Netherton were held to a 2-2 draw by third-placed Uppermill.

Shepley Reserves recovered from 2-1 down to beat Berry Brow Reserves 3-2 in the semi-final of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy at Storthes Hall.

They will face Diggle Reserves in the final at Lepton Highlanders on Friday, May 4 (6.00).

TONIGHT’S Gee Cup final clash between Royal Dolphins Reserves and Holmbridge Reserves, scheduled for Grange Moor, has been called off (new date to be confirmed).
