ROLLINSON Cup winners Huddersfield Irish Centre aim to continue their march towards the double by beating Leeds Road Wanderers tomorrow andthen Wellington Westgate on Wednesday.

Midweek wins over Kirkheaton, then Leeds Road, left them in fourth place, six points behind leaders Rose and Crown, but with three games in hand.

Leeds Road’s 6-1 loss to Irish Centre was their 13th in as many games, and they now have just one chance to get points on the board.

Adrian Baker got their consolation, while Irish Centre’s Ashley Flynn grabbed a hat trick before picking up the injury which kept him out of the Rollinson final.

The other Irish Centre marksmen against Leeds Road were John Paul Flynn, Adam Bell and Ross Martin.

Against Kirkheaton, Kieran Ryan helped himself to four goals in an 8-1 success.

In the long-awaited derby between Golcar Con and Rose and Crown at Longfield Rec, honours were shared as a 3-3 draw earlier in the season was followed by a 2-2 stalemate.

John Conheeney and Andrew Biggs netted for Con while Jonny Beverley got both for Rose and Crown, who are at home to beaten Rollinson finalists Marsh Lib tomorrow and head for Lindley WMC on Monday.
