MARSH FC lifted the Lockwood Private Hire Trophy after a 3-2 win over Dalton in the final.

And so it turned out with a late strike from Nick Robinson proving to be decisive in Marsh’s favour.

Dalton reacted to the setback by controlling the rest of the first period and they were ahead by half-time as Andy Anderson scored an equaliser and then Kyle Pyke struck to give them the lead.

The turning point of the game was when Luke Haigh was sent off for Dalton in the 50th minute but they held their lead as Marsh battled to get goals.

Nathan Inman final restored parity smashing in an unstoppable left-footed drive and then Dyson created the chance for Robinson to force home the winner in the very last minute.
