ANDY KIWOMYA will step into Steve Black’s shoes as Town aim to maintain progress on three fronts this season.

Lee Clark’s side bid for a place in tomorrow evening’s FA Cup third-round draw (live on ITV at 6.00) when Macclesfield come to the Galpharm this afternoon.

Then they take to the road to face Tranmere in the fourth round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday and Dagenham and Redbridge in League I next Saturday.

And Town fitness guru Kiwomya will have key role after the departure of performance coach Black for personal reasons.

The Huddersfield-born 43-year-old played for Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Dundee, Rotherham, Halifax, Scunthorpe, Bradford and Notts County.

Kiwomya, elder brother of former Ipswich player Chris, has worked full-time for Town for more than two years after initially coming on secondment from the University of Huddersfield.

“For now we have looked at what is already at the club and Andy will step in,” explained manager Lee Clark.

“He has worked very closely with Steve over the last two years and bought into his ethos.
