Here are the scores for the players' performances at Barnsley on Saturday.
And here are the comments:
Our midfield wasn’t as fluent as in previous games. I think we need a proper striker along side Vaughan, either Stead or a new signing or then again maybe try Lopez.
We must start games with more tempo. Our midfield was totally out-played and out-fought. Teams have worked us out already and we need a Plan B when we get matched up 3-5-2. Quality of crosses was awful with balls going to nowhere and we need an attacking midfielder who can run at defences.
Let's be clear, the back three are not to blame if the midfield seem disinclined to seek the ball short from the back as was the case at Oakwell.
Town struggle against teams who play 3-5-2 the same as them. Mark Robins needs to sort this out quickly if we are to carry on the good start.
I thought only Joel Lynch, Adam Hammill and James Vaughan turned up on the day. The passing game was dispensed with for long periods.
Listening to certain smug players this week you would have thought all we had to do was turn up. In the first half there was no passion, therefore no points. And we’ve seen it all before from Scannell and the midfielders.
