BRENTFORD boss Andy Scott hailed his side’s second half demolition of Town as the best performance he had seen from his side since taking the reins over two years ago.

“The whole 90 minutes was the most complete performance I have seen since I have been in charge,” enthused Scott.

“It is a statement of intent for the rest of the season and, after the run of games we have had, it was some effort.

“We have a set of lads who don’t think the job is done and they are relentless in pursuit of some reward for what they put in – that showed in the game.”

And he was particularly pleased with what he saw as his side’s ‘dominance’ of an opponent from the play-off places.

“It was a dominant show against a side who are right up there,” added Scott, whose unbeaten home record stretches to six months.

“We didn’t give them a chance to get into their stride – we were all over them, they couldn’t get into the game.

“And the players want this run to carry on and we want to win as many games as possible now and finish as high as we possibly can in the league.”
