TOWN loan signing Pawel Abbott is in for a busy few days.
The 22-year-old Preston striker flies out to Poland tomorrow to sign papers clearing him from national service.
He will fly back into Manchester on Sunday night, return home to collect his boots and then link up with the Town squad in Devon.
"We are sending a driver to pick him up on Sunday and we will probably train on Monday afternoon to give him a little more time to settle in," said manager Peter Jackson today.
"Pawel can't wait to join us and get cracking and he already knows Jon Newby quite well from his loan last season at Bury, so that will help him."
Abbott, 6ft 1in and 11st 5lb, will wear the No25 shirt on his debut at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.
"Everyone will be looking to Pawel to fill Jon Stead's boots, so it's a big move for him and a big job to take on," added Jackson.
"He will have No25 to start with but, if the move becomes permanent, he might take over the No9 as well - we'll just have to wait and see."
