STRIKEFORCE leader Andy Booth is confident Town will go up - but he also believes they will have to go all the way to the wire.

Saturday's goalless draw at Hull leaves Town needing four points to secure automatic promotion ahead of Torquay, with Lincoln clinging only to slender hopes.

Torquay and Town are both at home on Saturday, to Kidderminster and Mansfield respectively, and if both win, Peter Jackson's side will go to Cheltenham on the final day needing to avoid defeat to go up.

"If someone had said at the start of last week that we would take seven points out of these three matches (Scunthorpe, Northampton and Hull) then we would have bitten their hands off, so we've got to be happy with that outcome," said Booth, who needs just one goal for 100 in Town colours.

"Torquay keep winning and are only three points behind, but promotion is still very much in our own hands.

"Obviously it will be a huge help if we can beat Mansfield at the McAlpine in front of our own fans in what is going to be a very tough game.

"It would be great, too, if Kidderminster could do us a favour down at Plainmoor, but all we've got to concentrate on is getting the job done against Mansfield and, if we need points on the final day, to make sure we go out and get them.

"I always thought it would go to the wire, but we are going well and the lads are producing in the big games."

Booth says Town will miss suspended due Efe Sodje and Danny Schofield.

"They've both had excellent seasons and been big parts of the team, but we've got lads who will come in and do great jobs as replacements."
