SKIPPER Jon Worthington is confident Town have the character to win outright promotion.
Just 24 hours before the mega-derby against Barnsley, Worthington pointed to the experience of players and management alike to see the job through.
Town dropped to third thanks to Brentford's 1-0 midweek win at MK Dons, but Worthington is undaunted about the run-in.
"We've got the characters to live with pressure at the top," said the midfielder, who is just one booking away from hitting 15 for the season and a three-match ban.
"In the dressing room, the lads are upbeat and confident because we've got people who've been there before and done the business.
"I know we had a great late run and just missed out last season, but the previous year we came through the agony of Cheltenham to win the play-off final and we can draw on that experience now.
"Pressure does get to certain teams and we have to be strong.
"But the gaffer (Peter Jackson) and Taff (Terry Yorath) will keep us on the right track and we're all really looking forward to the Barnsley game.
"It will be tough, we know that, but hopefully we can put on a show for our supporters and take three very important points."
