Huddersfield Town are traditionally strong finishers.

In an examination of results from the past ten seasons, there was no evidence of a "bogey month", but there is a definite upswing as the summer approaches.

Town’s form has largely remained consistent every month throughout the last decade.

The Terriers average 1.4 points per game in August, September, October, November and December.

Things traditionally perk up slightly in January when the club average 1.5 points per game before returning to a consistent theme of 1.4 in March.

However, they average 1.6 points per game in April and 1.7 in May.

And that makes the ending to last season, when David Wagner's men were heavily beaten by Bristol City and Brentford, all the more surprising.

However, before those results Town did perform as expected to beat Blackburn Rovers, and secure draws with Hull City, Rotherham and Birmingham to officially confirm their Championship status for 2016/17.
