NAT BROWN may have to visit a specialist to assess the knee injury which keeps him out of tonight's friendly at Guiseley (7.30).

The 22-year-old defender, who made 41 first-team appearances last season, has been troubled by a niggle all pre-season.

It flared again after he played as a striker in Saturday's 2-0 win at Farsley and it hasn't settled, so a check-up looks on the cards.

There is brighter news, however, of Paul Scott, who has responded to treatment for an ankle injury from physio Lee Martin and will start in midfield against the UniBond First Division side, who include Simon Trevitt in their squad.

Jon Worthington makes his second appearance of pre-season in a Reserves' squad including Andy Booth, Chris Holland and Danny Schofield, who may all be involved on Saturday against Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground (3.00).

Trialist Stuart Preston will start tonight's match and there are chances for young pros Adnan Ahmed, Andy Holdsworth, John McCombe, Anthony Lloyd and Steve Kenworthy.

The subs' bench will feature Academy players and manager Peter Jackson said: "We just want to see progress. If we show the same grit and attitude we left off with at Farsley then we won't go far wrong, and it's really pleasing to have Paul Scott back in the side. He has done well to get himself right."
