PETER Jackson today insisted Town can still grab automatic promotion.
Despite defeat at Gillingham, Town are third ahead of tomorrow's fixtures, when Colchester play their game in hand at home to Hartlepool and Swansea entertain Swindon.
Saturday's opponents Bournemouth are also in action at Walsall and Jackson declared:
"With five matches left we've got every reason to be positive.
"Saturday's defeat could have been a lot worse had other results not gone for us and automatic promotion is still up for grabs.
"Even though our away form isn't good, we are not afraid of the challenges ahead and we'll keep going."
Paul Rachubka deputised for Phil Senior (back), while David Graham stepped in for Chris Brandon (leg).
"We conceded another sloppy early goal away from home and the result was a major disappointment," added Jacko.
"We missed some good chances after working our way back into the first half and then we missed Boothy in the second, giving the wrong service to our strikers.
"It's a setback, but we'll be up for the trip to Bournemouth."
