An offer from Leeds United should be approached with caution, according to Neil Warnock.

Massimo Cellino is searching for a successor to Steve Evans, and Bristol Rovers have turned down a formal approach for their boss Darrell Clarke.

The two clubs are currently negotiating over set pre-conditions, but Rovers want things resolved either way by Monday.

And former Huddersfield Town manager Neil Warnock has warned Clarke that it may be too much for a young manager.

He told TalkSPORT: "I am not sure I would recommend him (Clarke) going to Leeds as the next stage of his career, if I am honest.

"I think, the turmoil at the moment with the fans, it would be very, very difficult for a young manager to go in there and not just turn the team around, but get everybody on side."
